An elegant watch by Zenith has been named one of the best timepieces of 2010 by one news source, which may encourage consumers to consider a purchase.

The Zenith Christophe Colomb is the timepiece in question which picked up the honour of World Tempus' Selection 2010.

Critic Elizabeth Lilly Doerr noted the "highly-sophisticated escapement" as one of the key highlights, which can be viewed around the six o'clock location of the timepiece's face.

She explained: "The escapement is located within the carriage constantly seeking out balance and equilibrium that is determined by gravity."

Other positive features of this Zenith watch include a bulky 45mm case, which is styled in 18-carat rose, white or yellow.

The El Primero Tourbillon is another product from Zenith which may appeal to watch fans, which provides accuracy in time reading due to 325 components making up its movement and is finished with a luxury alligator strap.
