Wooden watches created by American brand

A company in the US has started to take an innovative approach to helping the environment by crafting watches which are made from pieces of scrap wood.

The WeWood watches are made to look like a standard bracelet watch, but the strap and face of the models has been made out of wood.

Coming in a variety of different styles and finishes, the watches have been made for both men and women and as they weigh just one ounce, the company stated that they will be barely felt on the wrist.

Continuing its theme of sustainability, the company will also plant a tree every time that one of its watches is sold, keeping buyers safe in the knowledge that their purchase is helping the planet.

Japanese brand Citizen watches recently announced that it would be releasing a new range of products in India in time for the forthcoming Diwali season.
