Women's timepiece sparkles in four colours

Women who love watches will be delighted to hear that a French fashion house has decided to honour the courtier with its latest release.

In a tribute to its founder, Dior has decided to make the number eight of specific importance on the piece because it was Christian's lucky number.

Named Dior VIII, the only Roman numeral featured on the face is of course the number eight, while the other figures are represented by silver stokes.

For Christian Dior the digit is of such significance because on October 8th 1946 his couture house was created and he named his first collection En Huit (French for the infamous number).

But what's the watch like?

It's sassy and classic all at the same time. The dial features a thick diamond frame around the sides, while the case is ceramic and white gold.

The inner section of the dial is black and the hands are luminescent.

Pyramid links make up the bulk of the strap, which features a gold unfolding clasp.

The perfect accompaniment on an evening out.
