Watchmaker Muhle-Glashutte hoping to distribute in UK

German watch manufacturer Muhle-Glashutte has announced its aim to expand its collection of timepieces into the UK market.

The brand has already seen plenty of activity from Brits on its official website, as well as delivering success in sales across such areas as central Europe, Holland, Japan and many other Asian regions.

However, Thilo Muhle, chief executive of Muhle-Glashutte, has told Professional Jeweller of the company's aim to break into the UK now.

He explained: "The next step is finding a distributor, we need to build our chain there. I feel we have a great possibility of success in the UK, if we can sell directly to those looking for Muhle-Glashutte watches."

Muhle-Glashutte first started developing wristwatches back in 1869, with designs coming from the brand since then ranging from elegant pink-gold timepieces to eye-catching stainless-steel coated ones.

It has even styled some tickers with the unique feature of Muhle's very own hand-wound movement, which could attract a buyer.
