Watches 'must make a statement' this autumn

First published: 11-08-2009

Women buying watches in the next couple of months may want to follow the trends which one famous magazine believes will be at the centre of attention this autumn.

Grazia, which many ladies may consider to be a Bible of fashion, said that watches will likely parallel popular styles of jewellery next season, with only one agenda being on an accessory's minds: making a statement.

As a result, chunky and oversized styles of watch are acceptable, perhaps using gold or silver to really stand out when showing off the wrist on the high street or on a night out, it asserted.

Grazia added that the perfect cuff or bangle can really add to an overall look, meaning that women may want to invest a little time and money into getting the perfect combination for the outfit of their choice.

Last week, celebrity stylist Neil Rodgers said that watches are one of the best ways to accessorise holiday clothes, alongside other inexpensive investments such as sunglasses.
