Watches 'make holiday outfits stand out'

First published: 06-08-2009

Brits should be looking to accessories such as watches to make their outfits stand out while on holiday this summer, one fashion expert suggests.

Whether taking it easy on a Caribbean beach or walking the streets of Milan in search of the latest designer goods, watches are a great way to personalise a look, says celebrity stylist Neil Rodgers.

He points out that items such as watches and sunglasses are an inexpensive way to make clothes look better and are not beyond people's reaches, even during the recession.

A decent watch is a good choice, Mr Rodgers continues, as are hats or bags that emulate celebrities styles.

Fans of motorbike series MotoGP could opt for a Tissot watch, recently seen on the wrists of multiple world champion Valentino Rossi and rising British star Bradley Smith.

Film buffs on the other hand might want to follow in the footsteps of Hilary Duff or Scarlett Johansson and choose a DKNY watch or a Mango watch.
