Watch stolen in classic switcheroo move

Perhaps taking tips from BBC's The Real Hustle, a pair of thieves have used a classic trick to steal a watch in Scotland, prompting a search for the criminals.

Chisholm Hunter, a diamond dealer in Livingston, West Lothian was hit by the men, who tried on several expensive timepieces before seeing one which was particularly popular with them, the Daily Record revealed.

A £1,150 Rado watch was tried on by a man with distinctive gold teeth, though he did not return it, instead swapping the real one for a fake - something which staff failed to notice for a couple of hours after the thief made his way out of the shop.

It is hoped the man's dental implants will be instrumental in tracking both he and the watch down in the next few days.

Recently, Orlando Bloom was relieved of much of his classic watch collection against his will, with robbers breaking into his LA home this month to take some rare timepieces.

Dealers across the world have been notified of the watches which are missing in hope that the lawbreakers will be traced.
