Watch seminars coming to IJL

Watch fans will have plenty to talk about when International Jewellery London (IJL) takes place this autumn.

That is because the well-known fashion show has revealed its seminars for the 2011 edition, with a few focussing on the timepiece industry.

One of the talks will see Rachael Taylor, editor-in-chief of WatchPro, taking to the stage to discuss marketing tricks and how such tactics can enhance watches in the retail stream.

Entitled How to Boost Watch Sales Through Telling Tales, the seminar will feature a host of names associated with watchmaking all giving their views on the subject.

Another event that could interest timepiece enthusiasts is a talk being hosted by Jonathan Hedges, from market research firm GFK, who will advise on how trends can be spotted on tickers by retailers.

IJL will be coming to the capital's venue of Earls Court between the dates of September 4th and 7th, with plenty of watches and jewellery pieces set to be on view.
