Vacheron Constantin watch 'creates big stir'

First published: 04-02-2011

Vacheron Constantin has detailed one of its new timepieces, which may intrigue watch fans looking for a product for when they travel the globe.

Entitled the Patrimony Traditionnelle World Time, this model was one which made "a big stir at SIHH" last month, according to Hodinkee.

One of the reasons for this is the fact that it is the first world-time wristwatch from Vacheron Constantin for several decades.

No stone has been left unturned though, as the brand has designed a timepiece which not only records the 24 standard time zones, but of those which sit on half and quarter hour too.

This takes up the number of viewable times up to a staggering 37 time zones, with another highlight being a world map in the centre of the dial – allowing wearers to distinguish where it is day and which countries are shrouded in night.

Vacheron Constantin has been celebrating recently, after its Historique Ultra-fine 1955 watch picked up the Public Prize at the 2010 Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix, World Tempus reported.
