A new timepiece from Vacheron Constantin has received plenty of praise from one source, which may sort out a special gift for a partner who loves a fashionable watch.

The Patrimony Retrograde is the product in question from a company which has had over 250 years of experience in the watchmaking industry.

Awarding a score of 77 out of 100 from The Watch Observer, the critic noted that the timepiece features a wealth of innovative features.

This can be seen first on the dial of the fashion watch, which displays the date in a semi-circular design at the top of the face, with the bottom half dominated by an arrow indicating the current day of the week.

White gold is a material which features throughout the timepiece, as it is used for the hands and markers, as well as for the case, which the news source believed helped to make it "undoubtedly one of the most beautiful of the market".

Vacheron Constantin is no stranger to rich and luxurious timepieces, with its recently-revealed Quai de l'Ile Annual Calendar giving watch fans the choice of either a pink or white gold finish, Hodinkee reported.
