Unisex watches are 'way forward' in 2010

People looking to get with the correct trends at the beginning of the year in the world of watches will do well by investing in a unisex timepiece, according to one fashion guru.

Priscilla Kwateng of the Guardian detailed how fashion loves to have a bit of a "gender mash-up" and that there are plenty of brands to satisfy anyone hoping to meet these needs.

She continued: "But the unisex watch is a slight misnomer, since it usually means men's watches that can be worn by all. Keep this arm candy bold and brash, maybe with a sprinkling of retro styling."

While many high street brands tend to stock such offerings, one timepiece that particularly impressed the writer was the Casio stainless steel calculator watch, which is able to meet the demands for a more retro wrist accompaniment.

The Guardian served as the platform for Esquire editor Jeremy Langmead in December, with the temporary contributor discussing how men are obsessed with watches despite expense and other technologies which are able to tell the time.
