Ted Baker sees Christmas success

Ted Baker, one of the country's leading brands of clothing and watches, has announced that it continued to trade ahead of expectations after some great performances from its stores across the UK.

Retail sales for the fashion house were up by 19.1 per cent between November 1st and Christmas Eve, with the popularity of the company then carrying over to 2010.

Company founder and chief executive Ray Kelvin was proud of the organisation's progress.

He said: "I am pleased to report that trading continued to exceed our expectations in a very competitive environment. This performance is testament to our innovative product design, quality, attention to detail and excellent customer focus."

Mr Kelvin went on to thank the hard work of the team at Ted Baker for their "continuing hard work and dedication".

Ted Baker joins House of Fraser in announcing strong sales, with the latter attributing improvements in sales to brands such as Kenneth Cole.
