TW Steel looks forward to Basel watches event

TW Steel watches is gearing up for an upcoming event, as well as 2010 in general, with a lot of excitement, according to its chief executive officer.

Jordy Cobelens recently gave his thoughts on how the company - standing for The Watch in Steel - is gearing up for Baselworld 2010, between March 17th and 25th, which will see the watch world congregating in Switzerland.

The boss of the company explained that moving into Hall 1.1 is a "major step forward" for the watch firm, showing the popularity of what remains to be a very young brand, with the recent move into Formula One sponsorship with the Renault F1 Team being the highlight of the organisation which has been around for four years.

Mr Cobelens said that people may have high expectations of TW Steel, and the location of the stand is critical to success Basel in 2010 - something which pleases him as the stand will look "absolutely phenomenal".

"From a product perspective we'll use Basel as the launch platform for our Renault F1 editions," he concluded.

"These models will accommodate both the higher-end chief executive officer range as well as entry-level options to cater for everyone."

Earlier this month, it was announced that Australian swimming legend Ian Thorpe would be the newest brand ambassador for TW Steel watches.
