Watch fans hoping to buy a new accessory to adorn their wrists in 2011 may want to check out one source's picks of this year.

The Perpetuelle.com blog has detailed a series of timepieces which proved popular on their site in the last 12 months, with a range of products appearing.

For the fashion watch fan, the Panerai Luminor Composite PAM 386 could be the ideal accessory. Splashed in different shades of brown across its strap, case and dial, the timepiece also boasts 300m of water resistance for practicality.

Meanwhile, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Limited Edition 'Liquidmetal' will be hard to ignore, with a sharp black design and offering a ceramic bezel which "is particularly resistant to scratching and corrosion".

Those who like to take to the tennis court on occasion may want to opt for the Richard Mille RM027 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal, which saw the watchmaker enter that particular sport for the first time with a highly complex and unique timepiece.

Watch Luxus recently reported on the appealing features of the RM 017 Tourbillon, which also comes from Richard Mille, noting: "Each part has been carefully created so that it meets Richard Mille's requirements in terms of rigidity, reliability and precision."
