Spring watch classic shows ''expensive tastes''

There is no limit to the fun and attractive watches on offer for high-end buyers this spring, according to a new report.

In the piece for the Times, fashion experts looked at the admirable and expensive Jaeger LeCoultre Master Grand Tourbillon Europe PT, which displays Europe, large parts of Africa and most of the Middle East on its watch face in a colourful manner.

It continued: "This Jaeger LeCoultre watch comes with a fabulous, unnecessary tourbillon, 33 jewels and an elaborately carved raised enamel map of the world. Naturally, it costs the earth."

The newspaper isn't wrong, either; the recommended retail price is no less than £89,900.

Luckily, other spring offerings on the list are much cheaper, but perhaps only in comparison; other must-haves included a £115 boater, a £795 Dunhill blazer and British Indian Army-style chinos for £50.

Jaeger LeCoultre recently demonstrated its wares at BaselWorld last month, joining many other high-end watch maestros in delivering live brand experiences throughout the show.
