Simpsons watch to accompany record break attempt

A man is to attempt a world record and is drawing on support from his trusty watch as he aims to beat the effects of time by watching every episode of his favourite TV show that has been broadcast in the UK.

Glyn Stott of Merthyr Tydfil in Wales is planning on celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Simpsons by watching over 150 hours straight of the popular TV show, essentially taking in every episode since its debut in January 1990.

He will also watch the feature film and will time the entire experience on his Simpsons watch, which is only a tiny part of the memorabilia he has already collected over the years.

"I soon fell in love with the show and I watch it every day - sometimes twice," Mr Stott said. "The Simpsons are a major part of my life and I've got the T-shirt, the wristwatch and the figurines to prove it."

The Simpsons is the longest-running American sitcom, primetime entertainment series and animated programme.
