Show jumping champ wins new watch

A new winner of the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Valkenswaard was revealed last Saturday (August 13th).

American show jumper Beezie Madden, alongside team horse Cortes, stamped out the competition to pick up a €96,000 (£84,255) prize and exclusive Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch.

The beautiful design was uniquely crafted for the event and features a square dial for high quality readability and special engraving for the series.

Speaking about her incredible win, Ms Madden said: "I am a little shocked but very happy."

The winner had only partnered up with her leading horse just several months earlier so this was an unexpected victory.

Meanwhile, Jaeger-LeCoultre teamed up with the event to reflect their shared values and spirit.

Yiannis Broustas, Dutch managing director of the tour, said: "Luxury is not instant and winning an event like that is not instant either.

"It takes a lot of effort, a lot of talent and great passion."
