Sebastien Ogier becomes TAG Heuer ambassador

World Rally icon Sebastien Ogier has been announced as the new face of TAG Heuer, sports watch fans may be interested to hear.

The Frenchman will join a wealth of other motor-racing stars as part of the company's "Dream Team" of brand ambassadors, Watch ID reported.

As a result of the partnership, Ogier will now be on hand to honour the watchmaker's "150 Years of Motor-Racing" celebrations, which takes place throughout this year.

The racing star, who drove to the Junior Rally Championship in 2008, pointed out that he joins such names as Lewis Hamilton, Juan Manuel Fangio and Ayrton Senna, who have all represented TAG Heuer in the past.

Ogier explained: "Now I'm thrilled to be part of it too, and I will do my best to merit the honour."

Recently, it was revealed that Formula One legend Alain Prost has rejoined TAG Heuer, to further add to the brand's celebration of 150 years of commitment to motor racing, Professional Jeweller reported.
