Rolex watches stolen in burglary

Rolex watches and jewellery worth more than £50,000 have been stolen in a raid near King''s Lynn.

The theft happened from a home in Terrington St John, with thieves also taking Chanel watches and a Mitsubishi truck worth around £15,000.

Included in the haul was a men''s white gold Rolex watch, a lady''s Rolex watch encrusted with diamonds and rubies and another male Rolex timepiece with diamonds on the face.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the raid, which happened on the night of Easter Sunday.

It is thought that the thieves broke into the home through a window and stole a safe from the house, which contained the watches and jewellery.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident or who may have been offered such items for sale in suspicious circumstances."

The case follows the theft of eight Rolex watches from a shop in Oxford Street, London last week in a smash and grab raid.
