Richard Branson new face of Bulova Accutron watch range

Fashion watch enthusiasts may be interested to hear that entrepreneur Richard Branson has become the new ambassador for a Bulova Corporation timepiece collection.

The Virgin founder and president will represent the well-known watch brand's Accutron range, a special collection of tickers.

Branson will be officially unveiled as Bulova's newest ambassador at an invite-only cocktail party, which will take place at Baselworld later this month.

The Accutron collection is known for being the first fully-electrical timepiece in the world, when it was launched back in 1960.

Bulova noted: "Accutron revolutionised the way the world told time, offering what was then the most accurate timekeeping mechanism ever devised."

Since founding Virgin as a mail order record retailer, Branson has become a well-known name around the world.

The company has since gone on to be represented in a wealth of industries, with travel, tourism, broadband, mobile, TV and radio just to name a few examples.
