A Patek Philippe watch from Tiffany & Co will be auctioned by Bonhams on June 10th.

The 18ct gold timepiece is expected to sell for between £200,000 and £300,000 at the event, taking place on New Bond Street in London.

It features Arabic five minute divisions, a lunar calendar and comes with its original case.

The watch has been worn only on special occasions over the last 35 years and is one of only 349 examples originally produced.

It is being sold by its original owner, who purchased the watch in New York in 1974, according to research by Power Rating.

Commenting ahead of the auction, head of Bonhams Watch Department Paul Maudsley said: "This is a strong sale with some very desirable items, many of them highly collectable."

The auction will also see the sale of a wristwatch worn by the first woman to head a western government - president of Argentina Isabel Peron.
