Prince William sports Omega watch for big day

First published: 03-05-2011

Many people tuned in to watch the royal wedding last Friday (April 29th), with watch fans possibly glancing upon an Omega timepiece donned by the groom.

Prince William wore an Omega Seamaster Professional ticker for his wedding day, in which he tied the knot with Kate Middleton.

Hodinkee reported that the groom has sported the timepiece for many years and it is believed to have been a gift from his mother, Princess Diana.

Some of the highlight elements of this particular device include a steel case, which contains an eye-catching blue dial, although a stunning black option is also available.

Water resistance of 300m helps enhance the practicality of the fashion watch, while a sleek date window at three o'clock gives wearers more data than just the current time.

The wedding of William and Kate was watched by over 24 million people in the UK, making it among the highest TV audience ratings for the country.
