Members of the Porsche family are getting together their collection of watches to auction off to raise some money for a hospital in order for it to improve its facilities.

The German car manufacturer has grouped around no less than 49 watches into a lot which will be delegated to interested buyers through London-based auction house Bonhams, with the collection up for grabs in the English capital on December 2nd, Wealth Bulletin revealed.

The estimated collective worth of the watches is thought to be in the region of £100,000, with all proceeds going to the Oncology Research Department of the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany.

Paul Maudsley, the director of the watch department at the company, said the offering includes timepieces from Porsche Design itself, as well as other leading brands including Breitling, Rolex, Omega and Jaeger LeCoultre.

Porsche has just released its Boxster Spyder, adding to the current line which includes the Boxster, Cayman, Panamera, Cayenne and the classic 911.
