Another firm has dipped its toe into the market for watch phones by launching its own brand new offering.

Mati Herbst, the chief executive officer of Phenom Communications, said that the Dream is the company's most advanced piece of technology yet, stating that it is geared towards the "sophisticated world traveller" who wants cutting-edge style, elegance and functionality.

He explained that the success the organisation has received since launching the watch phone has inspired Phenom to go to the next level.

"Top designers, engineers, behavioural and usability experts came together to produce this high-end watch phone, using design elements and materials found in the most exclusive watches. Executives can wear it on any occasion while enjoying Phenom's unparalleled technological features."

With quad-band technology, the organisation said it can work pretty much anywhere in the world and features an external key pad, a full-colour touch screen, MP3 and video player, a still and digital camera, a USB drive and more.

At the beginning of the year, LG unveiled the world's first market-ready touch watch phone - the LG-GD910 - at CES 2009 in South Korea.
