Passion for watches 'will grow in the UK'

Enthusiasm for watches is only likely to grow in the UK as people realise what useful accessories timepieces can be, according to a pair of experts.

Nick and Giles English, founders of horology company Bremont, told WatchPro they believe there will be as much change in the industry in the next decade as there has been in the past ten years, with average consumers waking up to luxury watch ownership.

"In the US they call it watch wardrobing, when men and women start to own multiple luxury watches and change the one they wear on an almost daily basis," they explained.

In terms of which timepiece to go for, Nick and Giles recommended always buying a style because you like it, not because it is trendy or could appreciate in value.

However, if this happens it is always a bonus - to strike a happy medium, you could go for a classic style that is also a limited edition.

The Rotary Men's Les Originales Limited Edition Automatic would be a good choice in this respect.
