Richard Mille timepieces have plenty of appeal to them, with two sportsmen recently showing their ability to handle being involved with intense situations.

Spanish tennis icon Rafael Nadal and big-name golfer Bubba Watson both donned devices from the brand when competing in high-profile events.

By doing so, Watch Time believes this has aided in "demonstrating that Mille's ultra-complicated movements can handle tough duty".

Nadal, who currently tops the ATP World Tour singles rankings ahead of Novak Djokovic, wore a Richard Mille RM 027 Tourbillon last month as he triumphed over David Ferrer to claim a seventh consecutive Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters title.

In the golfing world, Bubba Watson won his second PGA Tour of 2011 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans while donning a Richard Mille RM 038 Tourbillon, a victory that pushed him to the top of the FedEx Cup table.

Watson's timepiece was easy to spot by spectators, thanks to its eye-catching distinctive white strap design.
