In recognition of being the official timekeeper of the Gumball 3000 event, watchmaker Nixon has announced some special timepieces for the occasion.

The brand has now sponsored the world-famous rally event for four years back-to-back, with watch enthusiasts being able to celebrate the feat with some Gumball 3000-inspired tickers.

One of these Nixon watches is a "tricked out version of The Unit watch", which is designed with a black silicone case and strap and features The Nixon x Gumball insignia across its caseback.

Meanwhile, the Prize timepieces from the brand are Magnacons for the "Spirit of the Gumball Award" and are styled in a black matte stainless steel case, with gold elements adding to its elegance.

The Gumball 3000 occasion was first though up in 1999, with this year's event seeing participants kicking off proceedings in London, before passing through Paris, Barcelona, Monaco, Venice, Belgrade and finally Istanbul over an eight-day stint.
