Watch fans who are also keen travellers may want to check out a Vacheron Constantin timepiece, as it may prove to be an essential accessory for a trip.

Entitled the Patrimony Traditionnelle Heures du Monde, the Watch Observer has been so impressed with the detailing of the device that it gave it a rating of 80 out of 100.

One of the first elements of the timepiece that is sure to stand out is the global map in the centre of its dial, which helps distinguish 37 time zones at once.

A critic at the Watch Observer noted: "This projection is as finely accomplished as it is practical: for example, to find New York and its corresponding time zone, just look for the North American continent. It's a child's play!"

Some other attractive design features of this Vacheron Constantin watch include an elegant 5N pink gold case and a brown alligator strap, helping to finish the device off in style.

Another timepiece from the brand which could appeal to watch enthusiasts is the Historique Ultra-fine 1955, a device that scooped the Public Prize at the 2010 Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix last winter.
