A new timepiece from IWC's Portofino collection is being released this year, with plenty of attractive features to tempt watch fans to splash the cash.

The Portofino Remontage Manuel 8 Jours has impressed those at the Watch Observer so much that the device was given a 74 out of 100 rating.

Some of the appealing elements of the timepiece include the hour markers being decorated in a solid-gold tone, while rich leaf-shaped hands also enhance the style of the dial.

Consumers should also find the watch be easy to spot, with its rose-gold case measuring in with a 45mm diameter, though the news source stresses the size is never too big.

They explained: "Once you put it on, you actually realise that its size greatly contributes to its character and that it does not negatively impact the excellent comfort for daily wear."

Recently, the Watch Observer showered the IWC Portofino Chronographe with praise, giving it a score of 70 out of 100.
