Michael Kors and Swatch watches praised by Elle

First published: 14-10-2009

Six of the best watches for this season have been previewed by a leading fashion magazine, which urges ladies to go out and invest their hard-earned cash in something worth every penny.

Elle's autumn and winter fashion preview detailed offerings from Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Toy Watch and Timex, though it was the offerings from Michael Kors and Swatch which were the real eye-openers.

Swatch's gold watch, for £85, gives the wearer crystal-studded hour markers and a clean-looking see-through watch body, though the slightly more expensive Michael Kors watch gains the attention of the magazine for its black oversized chronographic qualities - a steal at only £220.

It continued: "Michael Kors' black metallic watch perfectly reflects the glamorous, under-stated ethos of the brand."

Michael Kors launched accessories such as watches, handbags and shoes as part of his brand in 2001 after 20 years of delivering clothing from his New York City base.
