Formula 1 driver Mark Webber has launched the latest model in a limited edition range of Casio watches.

Casio, a sponsor of Webber's Red bull Racing team, introduced the EDIFICE EFR-520RB model in Monaco this week.

The analogue watch, which features a metal casing, is due to go on sale in September 2012 and boasts a 3D Disk Chronograph and Ion-plated bezel, as well as a 1/20-second indicator that ensures precise accuracy in stopwatch mode.

It is delivered in a collector's box that also features photographs of the Red Bull drivers and car and Casio Europe's marketing manager Kai-Christian Helms said the timepiece "is a continuation of the great working relationship that has been forged between Red Bull Racing and Casio since 2009".

"Red Bull Racing’s continual stand-out performances within the world of Formula 1 have provided us with the ideal inspiration for this time-piece, which we believe perfectly reflects the team's energy and excellence," he added.

The launch took place on Red Bull boats in the Monaco Harbour, where Webber took part in a question and answer session with journalists. He also attended a press conference at the Red Bull Energy Station, where he was presented with the first new EDIFICE model and was full of praise for the design.

"This latest Red Bull Racing edition looks the business and I will be wearing it during the forthcoming season," he stated.

Casio, which renewed its partnership contract with Red Bull Racing earlier in the year, has used the team's red and blue colours on the bezel, hands and dial marks and the timepiece also features the team's logo in the upper half of the watch face.

Webber and his teammate Sebastian Vettel will be hoping for a strong performance at the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend (May 27th). He currently sits fifth in the Drivers' Championship - which is led by Vettel - and Red Bull are first in the Constructors' standings.
