They may be in the midst of pre-season preparations, but Manchester United have found time in their busy schedule in their tour of Asia to promote Swiss watch manufacturer Hublot.

The world famous manufacturer is the official watch provider of Manchester United and some of the club's stars have taken to the catwalk in Shanghai to brandish their favourite designs.

Among those taking to the catwalk were manager Sir Alex Ferguson, former captain Bryan Robson and a host of currents stars, including new signing Shinji Kagawa and Mexican forward Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez.

They were all happy to be snapped on the runway and the event is sure to have done wonders for Hublot's reputation in the Far East, where United have tens of millions of supporters.

Joining them at the event was Loic Biver, brand director for Hublot China , who cut the ribbon on the opening of a new boutique in Shanghai.

"On behalf of Manchester United, I would like to congratulate Hublot on this new milestone in its growth in China,” said Sir Alex Ferguson, who celebrated his 25th anniversary at the club in 2011.

"We are looking forward to the charity event later this week where we will again work together to raise funds that will benefit the United for Unicef partnership."

Hublot and Manchester United have been working in partnership since 2008, in which time the world famous club has won a number of major honours, including the Barclays Premier League in 2008-09 and 2010-11.

But having lost out on the domestic championship last season, Sir Alex and his players will be determined to double their efforts and bring the trophy back to Old Trafford.

Hublot, meanwhile, continues to develop a range of Manchester United-themed watches, and the increased exposure has certainly been a boon for the manufacturer.
