Major label sponsors Rugby World Cup

The Rugby World Cup, which kicks off in New Zealand next month, will be sponsored by a leading watch brand famed for its link to sports.

Tag Heuer is set to sponsor one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

The brand has said the game's pursuit for performance, commitment and perfection are just some of the values they share.

Jean-Christophe Babin, president and chief executive officer for Tag Heuer, said: "Partnering with Rugby World Cup 2011, one of the largest international sporting competitions in the world, is another demonstration of Tag Heuer's dedication to elite sport."

The competition begins on September 9th when the host country will take on Tonga in Auckland.

England plays their first game the following day against Argentina in Dunedin.

Mr Babin added: "It is this legitimacy in sport and lifestyle that has helped drive Tag Heuer's success as one of the most aspirational luxury brands in the world."

The event is expected to attract over 1.6 million spectators to its stadiums, as well as a global TV audience.
