Luxury & Brands reveals its 'top five sport watches of 2010'

First published: 26-10-2010

The top five sports watches of 2010 have been unveiled by one source, which includes products from the Tissot and Breitling ranges.

Luxury & Brands has reported how the past year in the industry has revealed more sport timepieces which include a durable look with a strong feel to the design, in contrast to the "chunky numbers" which used to dominate the market.

One of the timepieces which has been noted as a wise purchase for watch fans is the Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono, which offers white luminous hands to easily read the time and a water depth level of 1,000 metres.

Those who want to stay on a boat and not jump into the ocean may want to instead opt for the Tissot Sailing Touch Lady, where a function measures the previous six hours of climate.

Noting on the examples given, Monami Thakur, author of the article, stated: "Available in a complete package of unique designs, functions and specifications, [sports watches] can be used for a stylish dinner as much as for a day of snorkeling."

Meanwhile, Stuff magazine has recently listed its 25 most iconic watches for those after a product which has a more classic design, with a 1953 Rolex Submariner and a Casio G-Shock from 1983 just a couple named in its list.
