Leading from the sky to under water

One brand known for its aviation designs has launched an underwater watch suitable for diving.

The Superocean Nouvelle Vague, by Breitling, is an innovation on the range which was first released in 1957, The Watch Observer revealed.

The elegant watch is a blend of masculinity and elegance on a chain-link steel strap designed for adventurers.

There's also the choice of a rubber strap in the darker looking version of the timepiece.

The publication said: "The Superocean Nouvelle Vague really marks a new direction for Breitling, abandoning certain design elements that have been emblematic of the brand."

While the watch is a decent 15.47 mm thick, it also features a Calibre 17 for movement, delivering quality accuracy.

It's also water-resistant to 1,500 metres and has a carved steel bezel, making the markings easier to read.

The Watch Observer added: "Nicely finished, pleasant to wear, and a great bargain for the price, the watch is a great choice for anyone not looking for a professional diving watch."

There you have it - style, substance and classic looks.
