Jaeger-LeCoultre's latest timepiece, the Master Memovox, has been dubbed a 'sober and elegant' watch, while the changes made from its predecessor are 'successful'.

An expert writing for the Watch Observer has explained that when it comes to the overall features, the characteristics and the literature are pleasantly discreet, from its new pear-shaped hands to the polished case, thin lugs and silver dial.

The commentator added that it was also a "good surprise" that the watch now boasts a quick date function and a stop second, while the alarm feature is "neither too powerful nor too strident".

Other positive aspects of the piece include the black crocodile leather, which "suits the soberness of the whole", while it's folding buckle eases the setting and secures the use.

The watch is available in pink gold or steel and, according to the manufacturer, is "the most classical and the most contained expression of the art of watchmaking".
