Jaeger-LeCoultre watch displays 'unusual proportions'

First published: 25-01-2011

There are many reasons why consumers may want to opt for a certain Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece.

One thing that watch fans may notice about the Master Grande Ultra Thin is the "unusual proportions" given to it, according to the Watch Observer.

The news source noted that the model measures in with a 40mm-diameter case, significantly large for a dress timepiece, yet has less than nine mm of thickness – a small size for an automatic watch.

However, these dimensions have impressed the reviewer of the fashion watch, awarding it a score of 71.5 out of 100.

It commented that generous curves have been applied to the steel case, thus making "its outline look more slender".

The news source added: "Its large dimensions, its thin proportions, and its movement give it a real personality that will please those who look for an elegant and refined watch which subtlety opts for the path less taken."

Recently, Jaeger-LeCoultre announced that it is to release the Memovox Tribute To The Deep Sea, which looks to honour its Memovox Deep Sea Alarm - a timepiece produced back in 1959.
