Jaeger LeCoultre unveils unique timepiece

First published: 31-05-2011

A new timepiece from Jaeger LeCoultre may interest watch fans who are hoping to find a device that is unlike anything else on the market.

Entitled the Duometre a Quantieme Lunair, one of the highlight features of this ticker is the fact that it uses a Dual-Wing for its movement.

Such an element means that the timekeeping elements of the watch's movement are always kept separate from the more complicated functions of the device.

As a result, wearers will notice that the timepiece's calibre is kept separate, with one side dominated by devices to tell the hour, minute, second and jumping seconds, date and moon phase.

Meanwhile, another escapement feature is used to indicate the power supply, though each can be controlled using the same crown button.

Jaeger LeCoultre, which first hit the watchmaking industry back in 1833, finishes the fashion watch off with an elegant 18-carat white gold case.
