In an effort to raise 100 million yen for the Japanese Red Cross, one timepiece giant hosted a charity launch night for its Ginza 7 watch, with celebrity guest Hugh Jackman making an appearance.

The event took place at Blue Note Tokyo and was attended by 300 guests, composed of VIPs, celebrities and the media.

Audemars Piguet used its Japanese division to encourage donations to the March 11th Tohoku earthquake relief effort.

As part of the fund raising, the Royal Oak Offshore Ginza 7 is available for bidding online now until August 31st at the Audemars Piguet Boutique Ginza website.

The watch comes in two designs, both offering a sporty look. One is all black, from dial, to frame to strap. The other features a black strap, silver frame and a white-handed dial.

Ambassadors from the US, UK, Spain and Switzerland, as well as celebrities, signed 40 of the original clocks on display at the venue.
