Hublot makes special edition World Cup Winners timepiece

Watch maker Hublot has made a special edition watch to commemorate Spain's football team's 2010 World Cup success in South Africa.

The timepiece, simply called the Fifa World Cup Winner's Watch, incorporates colours associated with Spain with the gold flashes that have been linked with the company since it paired gold with rubber for a watch back in 1980, the first of its kind to do so.

Watch Luxus has reported that the watch uses the Big Bang 44mm Gold Ceramic Automatic Chronograph but included some unique features for it.

These include a gold logo that points towards the fact that this is to be associated with the Fifa 2010 World Cup winners, seen near to the three o'clock position, as well as the red, blue and yellow colours usually seen on Spanish football strips on many parts of the timepiece, including the index, watch hands and the alligator strap.

Other striking features that will make this watch a worthy collectable are that the case is made from pink gold and the case-back uses sapphire crystal, with a decoration of the Spanish flag and gold star included to further highlight the World Cup achievements.
