Hermes Cape Cod timepiece 'inspired by life at sea'

First published: 15-11-2010

Hermes has revealed a new timepiece which has been designed around different elements of life at sea.

Entitled the Cape Cod watch, one element which may get the attention of consumers is the way that maltese blue has been splashed onto the design, with Watch Luxus noting that it is to reflect "the colour of the waves and the scenery that inspired Hermes".

An anchor chain is the inspiration behind the look of the case, with gentle lines featuring throughout and "52 brilliant-cut diamonds" offering an elegant appearance to this fashion watch.

The dial is kept simple yet elegant thanks to a white dial adorned with silvered numerals, which have been styled as Arabic numerals and finished with a blue border so that they jump out to the wearer.

Hermes, a company with more than 150 years of experience in the industry, having been founded in 1837, completes the timepiece with a single or double saddle-stitched strap, which is designed with maltese blue calfskin.
