Guess watches supports youth centre

Guess watches has shown its support for a local youth club in Australia by helping to fund the construction of the site.

Sequel AG, the company which owns Guess and GC watches, funded the building of the Macquarie Fields centre after holding its conference in Sydney earlier this year.

The donation came as part of the group's Faces to Watch - Time to Give initiative and the company worked with Designa Accessories to ensure the business' charitable plans could be completed.

Justin Veil, general manager for Designa said: "The theme of all of Sequel AG's global charitable endeavours allows Sequel and its partners to sponsor charities."

The new centre will be open 24 hours a day and will offer support to young people from all backgrounds and cultures.

Some watches could be on sale in the new year which have been made from a gold alloy that cannot be scratched, after manufacturer Hublot announced it had developed the material.
