Grieb & Benzinger to launch skeleton watch

First published: 24-11-2010

Watch fans after something a bit different may be interested in checking out a new timepiece by Grieb & Benzinger.

Entitled the Split Second Skeleton Regulator Chronograph, the sole platinum product is modelled on a historic 1889 Patek Philippe, Professional Jeweller reported.

Fashionistas fond of attention to detail may also be impressed by the fact that the fashion watch has been given complete restoration and modification, with every bridge covered by skeletonising and guilloche.

The news source commented: "The technical effort applied to finish the Grieb & Benzinger has made this timepiece their most time-consuming project ever."

A "solid material quality" is also displayed from this Grieb & Benzinger timepiece, thanks in part to 165g of pure platinum, possibly making it the heaviest platinum watch on sale.

A skeleton face, which allows wearers to view the inner workings of the watch, has also been applied recently to the Invicta Women's 0122 Pro Diver Collection Mechanical Skeleton Stainless Steel timepiece, Watches Divers reported.
