Gift dads on Father's Day 'with appreciation'

First published: 17-06-2011

More children could be looking to treat their dads to a special gift this weekend, such as with a stylish watch, in celebration of Father's Day.

This Sunday (June 19th) honours males across the country and Rob Williams, chief executive of the Fatherhood Institute, believes the occasion gets bigger each year.

He explained that the day is being celebrated more because of "general awareness", rather than the "commercial impact of it".

For kids who want advice on what to shower their fathers with, Mr Williams said: "I think whatever they [fathers] get is less important than the message it conveys which is that they have a place in the family and that people appreciate what they do."

Those who want to really treat their dads may want to purchase an eye-catching timepiece, such as the sharp design of the Armani Exchange Chronograph watch or the digital displays of the Casio G-Shock Chronograph.
