G-Shock and Maharishi reveal first watch collaboration

A brand new G-Shock watch designed by urban fashion house Maharishi is set to hit stores after being officially unveiled by its makers Casio.

The collaboration is the most recent in a series of exclusive team efforts between G-Shock and leading designers, with the street wear label the latest to get in on the act.

Drawing inspiration from the infamous attempts during World War I to disguise boats using 'Dazzle' camouflage, the limited edition GA110HM-7A G-Shock watch deploys the same trademark black and white designs.

The resulting 'Bambazzle' effect works brilliantly with the chunky ruggedness of a G-Shock and shows why the partnership with Maharishi was always destined to be a success.

"The collaboration with G-Shock came about as both brands possess similar values," explained Maharishi head designer Hardy Blechman.

"Maharishi is still a small independent company, without holding the G-Shock ethos of never giving up, we would have never survived."

The new watch is set to be released in July and, among other things, features 200m water resistance, LED light with afterglow, stopwatch, four daily alarms, an auto calendar and magnetic resistance.
