Festival designs timepiece keepsake to celebrate

First published: 18-07-2011

A Swiss festival is marking its 55th year by offering an exclusive timepiece keepsake in a limited edition specific to the celebration.

The classic Menuhin Festival will be held once more in Gstaad and its official partner Armin Strom has designed a model from the Fire series to mark the occasion.

There will be one wristwatch for every year the festival has been in existence and they will be linked to its Fire and Sun theme.

The design is named the Armin Manual Fire Limited Menuhin Edition and will feature a musical pitch clef, some music notes and a hand-engraved flame, in keeping with the tone of the event.

Every year the festival attracts thousands of people, while it runs for seven weeks from July 15th to September 3rd.

This year is the second year that Armin Strom has been the main sponsor and it is also extending an invitation for visitors to its lounge on the edge of town.

Here, guests can view the new edition watch and browse upcoming collections from the designer.
