Festina to return to UK watch market

Swiss watchmaker Festina is to make a comeback to the British consumer market, those hoping to buy a new device may be interested to hear.

The brand has been around since 1902 and has had stints within the UK industry in the past, though with mixed outcomes, according to Professional Jeweller.

However, with sales topping 4.5 million pieces a year in recent times and the watchmaker selling its offering in 75 countries across the world, Festina has some strong credentials as it heads back to British shores.

One of the Swiss manufacturer's popular timepiece collections is the ChronoBike range, which hints towards the fact that the brand is a sponsor for the prestigious Tour de France bicycle race.

Some of the highlight elements of these watches include the back of the case being engraved with a bicycle chain, while bike cranksets are used for the look of the sub-dials on the ticker.

Another Festina collection that could catch the eye of watch fans is the brand's Ceramic range, which includes a wealth of colourful pieces and the choice of circular or square cases.
