Extremely limited edition titanium watches released

A pair of leading watch manufacturers have paired up to produce an extremely limited edition timepiece which will likely impress fans of titanium watches.

French designer Alain Silberstein has shaken hands with Swiss watch producer MB&F to produce the Horological Machine No 2.2, with only eight of the offerings being created for those wanting something altogether different from their wrist when they check the time.

The titanium watch is said to be an improvement on the first creation by the two, with its weight being markedly reduced and the design mimicking a cassette tape from back in the day.

Bauhaus design theories have been adhered to and the watch also embraces a separate instantaneous jump hour indication and concentric retrograde minute display, alongside a retrograde date indication and moon phase displays for both hemispheres.

Still, it is not quite as exclusive as the remarkably expensive timepiece recently released by Gerald Genta: the Arena Metasonic, which retails for the princely sum of $900,000 (£543,000).
