Expert: Citizen watches 'are a perfect match for bracelets'

First published: 01-11-2010

Fans of Citizen watches have been told to use their timepiece in order to create the latest fashions – by pairing them with numerous bracelets.

Danielle Radojcin, fashion and beauty director at handbag.com, has explained that watches are still very much in fashion, particularly as they are still something of a 'status symbol', but they are now making a comeback terms of what is on trend for the ladies.

When explaining the prominent styles for the forthcoming seasons, she said: "The return of minimalism as a dominant trend in fashion means we'll see less costume jewellery in the coming seasons, however I think there'll be a continuing demand for oversized, chunky pieces."

Her comments follow a recent blog entry from Jckonline.com, which notes the rise of chunky bangles or bracelets, teamed with watches.

November 2010's issue of Vogue features a model wearing numerous gold bangles, surrounding a round-faced Citizen wristwatch.
