Dior timepiece reflects ladies' handbag

A new timepiece from Christian Dior has been released and was pegged as reflective of the Lady Dior bag, part of the couture house.

Dior III is a feminine piece described as having "pyramidal" hour hands.

Speaking about his first collection in 1947, Christian Dior said: "I dreamt of being an architect. As a courtier, I have to respect the principles of architecture."

It is this same philosophy that has been the resounding influence of Dior III, which hangs on a bracelet of tiny pyramids fashioned in ceramics.

The back of the dial is engraved with VIII place Vendome, and a transparent case back allows wearers to view the clockwork.

Meanwhile, the case is surprisingly thin for such an intricate design and is black, made from high-tech ceramic and stainless steel.

The movement is quartz, while the face is 33 mm and for those thinking about taking a dip in the sea, it's water-resistant to 50 metres.

An elegant design for fashion conscious ladies.
